Huvudfokus är din resa. Vi vill ge de förutsättningar som du behöver för att förstå och fördjupa ditt fokus.

En grundläggande förutsättning inom hela bild- och formområdet och dess relaterade fält, är kunskaper om visuell perception och förståelse för hur materialitet, olika dimensioner, färg, form, rum, tid, ljud och narrativ påverkar hur vi tolkar världen.

Förutom dessa kunskaper är det även viktigt att utforska den egna relationen till olika kulturella, existentiella, eller politiska frågeställningar. Vi ingår i en större kontext som präglas av ojämlikhet och social/kulturell oro, människopåverkad kris i de naturliga systemen, helt ny teknologi – hur påverkar detta konst och formområdet? – Om och vad du fokuserar på i dina individuella meningsskapande processer formas av din bakgrund, dina motiv och dina intresseområden.

Konst och form bidrar oavsett fokus med nya perspektiv och andra förankringspunkter, både genom sin förmåga att ifrågasätta olika kulturella strukturer och genom att våga hantera komplexa och sammansatta fenomen i materialbaserade, idébaserade, processbaserade, researchbaserade och performativa processer. Hur och vad det innebär i det egna fria konst- och designarbetet, utgör en vital del av utbildningens innehåll. Konstnärlig frihet i uttryck och språk spelar här en avgörande roll.

Målet är att kunna avsluta utbildningen med en stark portfolio och en klar bild över arbetets konstnärliga identitet och fortsättning, samt att få en förankrad riktning i vilka sammanhang det arbetet kan vidareutvecklas.

Profile

The main focus is your journey. We want to provide the conditions you need to understand and deepen your focus.

A basic prerequisite within the entire field of art and design and its related fields, is knowledge of visual perception and an understanding of how materiality, different dimensions, color, shape, space, time, sound and narrative affect how we interpret the world.

In addition to these skills, it is also important to explore one’s own relationship to various cultural, existential or political issues. We are part of a larger context characterized by inequality and social/cultural unrest, human-induced crisis in the natural systems, completely new technology – how does this affect art and the field of form? – Whether and what you focus on in your individual meaning-making processes is shaped by your background, your motives and your areas of interest.

Regardless of the focus, art and form contribute with new perspectives and other anchoring points, both through their ability to question different cultural structures and by daring to deal with complex and composite phenomena in material-based, idea-based, process-based, research-based and performative processes. How and what it means in one’s own free art and design work is a vital part of the content of the education. Artistic freedom in expression and language plays a decisive role here.

The goal is to be able to finish the education with a strong portfolio and a clear picture of the work’s artistic identity and continuation, as well as to have an established direction in which contexts that work can be further developed.
